Oh man....I can't afford a Baer...those come comp ready. I'll shoot a few USPSA matches before I can earn the money to soup this baby up. This one is still MASSIVE $$$$$, but a Baer is ridonkulous. BUT, if I had my druthers, I'd go Wilson Combat all the way. Considering that the reigning USPSA .45 Champ has been a Springfield shooter for about the past 5 years...I'll keep my Springer and just add soup as I need it. The tolerances are super high and the machining is beautiful. Congrats to your friend, though. I saved a long time for this one.

The cash is a nice add....but, umm....why?
Also, I noted that the ejection port is not flared, so this must be an older model Sig GSR? Take that thing to a gunsmith and have the ejection port lowered and flared. You'll be amazed at the difference. Your brass will actually stay in one spot....awesome if you reload, which I do.

it is a sig gsr, i dont know much about it. i bought it used when i lived in kentucky for like $850, i dont think the guys at the gunshop realized it had novak night sights on it because it was about $200 cheaper than all the used 1911's labeled "night sights". i did need to have the extractor replaced because i lost the little plug that is underneath the muzzle one night when i was drunkenly disassembling it. turns out those things are not universal between 1911's because the one i bought to replace it was a bit tight and i think thats what ended up messing up my extractor. then the finish came off of the new extractor i had put on, thats why its metallic instead of black.

Yeah, I hear ya. Sig makes a nice 1911, but they only got good at it a few years ago. I noticed that the extractor looks to be a standard leaf and spring, which is very common amongst European guns, such as the older Sigs, which were all made in Germany. All in all, there are many collectors who would love that gun, as theyre not even made anymore. I wouldn't worry about the finish too much, for $100 plus shipping, you can have it re-parkerized....and that's a great finish, tough as all hell. All in all, a pretty nice piece.

I have volume 4 as well, but its in a tub. all the reissues I got are limited colored vinyl. Paranoid is on clear, Black Sabbath is clear red, Vol. 4 is clear, Sabbath Bloody Sabbath is clear red, Master of Reality is on clear red as well.
