I always think it's odd they don't have a bigger following, probably fostering to the wrong crowd... in the wrong decade, but they're damn good at what they do. Tombs seems more like the hipster crowd thrusting themselves upon the atmospheric sludge scene Isis made HUGE from like 2002 - 2008, which a lot of bands have actually done very very fucking well (Minsk, Giant, Cult of Luna, Callisto), but I feel like they're the super generic version of this genre and never had anything new or even catchy to add... |
