My friend in Florida sent Lava Booking from SF my way which is a 40 year old lady that booked Defcon 4 out there, she is wicked nice, paid us, fed us out of the six people on a whole US tour. I hung out with the tour manager last night and they were siked about the show, I've talked to a few band members and they are siked to play Boston and I can assure you many good things will come out of this relationship. It's noone's fault to be born rich, at least he's not fucking hanging out at Rod Stewarts pool or some shit he's playing small clubs like Europa and shit doing what my band had to do, he's not doing any interviews that are more about his father than his band. They asked for pizza for christ sakes and very little money. |

I could honestly care less how much money he has, how much money he wants, or how much money daddy has. But sadly, the fact remains that because of the money involved, he skips all steps of being a humble musician, whereas humble musicians like myself and most of the people on this board work hard to get connections, pay for recordings of bands, or anything like that. You should know this, you work hard booking shows! But, that being said, more power to him. I wish him well with success. BUT, one thing sticks out, and I quote him: "I'm really into the kind of music that comes from Norway called black metal. It's the type of music that's really, really raw. But some bands like CRADLE OF FILTH like to add melodic factors to it, which I do myself, and what that does is create a very powerful piece that incorporates strong melodic backgrounds that could be rather like Bach or something very symphonic." Cradle of Filth has sucked since Dusk...and Her Embrace and they're also not from Norway. Not sure if he was throwing them in there as a main influence or what, but to state you like black metal from Norway then switch over to Cradle of Filth in the next sentence is idiotic. I personally have nothing against him or his band, and I plan on meeting him if possible. I'm a little wary on what I've heard about him and/or his band's music.
