I agree that ABSU is amazing but come on. You have all hipsters going to this show obviously because they are the only ones that go to BM shows these days. Real fans stay home and remember a time when BM was cool and something of value. Now everyone including rich hipsters are taking it all over. Not to mention they are GREEN which is not anti everything like Black Metal once was. It totally lost its MAGIC. I check out all the opening acts too and they all look like overnighters. So I will just remember the time I saw ABSU in NEW PORT RI years ago when it was actually worth something and there weren't any posers in the audience.

I am playing in one of the opening bands. I used to listen to The Metal Cage show, I used to go to all the shows at Babyhead -
i was in high school at the time of the Absu, Enslaved, Incantation, December Wolves show.
My friend Wayne and i waited for weeks with sick anticipation for this show -
His Chevy Cavalier died on the way to the show.
Thus, we did not make it. It sucked so badly.
It has haunted me ever since, especially hearing "The TROO" that went to the show proclaming it being "The greatest show that ever happened!" etc etc.
Thanks to the fact that i was penpals with Equitant and the fact that the Metal Cage show promoted the gig and let like-minded people know about it, i was able to (almost) attend and support the music and the bands.
I dont know how many people were at said show but, i know one thing: whether there was 3 or 300 people, it probably wouldn't have satisfied a person such as you because you dont even know what YOU want from a band or its fans.
Dont shit on people because they were born in the wrong decade or whatever....you were an uncool shit once apon a time too, until someone showed YOU the light.
You obviously wont give these bands a chance no matter how good or how hardworking they are. Its all about the music and the brotherhood of being with like-minds, its a shame that you cant see it like that - - maybe your band never made it?? TOO BAD SWEETIE
