And while i really did know the material, and i could play 80% of what matt did... Unfortunately I couldn't do his single hand blasts up to speed. He rocks it at about the 245-250bpm level on "unwinged" and about the same but for like half the damn song on "teaming with sharks" so all in all i guess i couldnt play 80% of the material i could play everything but the blasts. Its not that i can't blast either, i just can't fucking go 250. i have 230 under my belt, with 64th on the bass too... anyways, i wasnt good enough but i tried. it was fun |

Is it's only quarter notes on the hands at that speed, and so it would be 8th notes on the feet... so shoot me moral of story- I was not quick enough with my blasts. I have no excuses other than the fact that the blasts in those songs are fast. It was fun trying though. |
