I had to leave before St. Jude/ Architect, but from what I saw this was not one of the better wheelchair shows. I've seen the place more full of people and energy a bunch of times. These bands were not crusty enough to draw the crowds.
And NADIR is always awesome.

st jude falls under the crusty brand, but I see what you mean. it was so hot in there.

I forgot to thank The Network last night for getting us on. We appreciate it. That was also our first show for the record.

wow! have faith. I got someone emailing me from the shows telling me that I shouldn't give up on the wheelchair. some really killer shows coming up there.

anyhow, architect showed up way late. they had a new drummer and possibly a new bassist (cause I don't remember him). At this point, they were playing for a few crusts and their friends. the new music was on par with their previous stuff. they were going to give up after 6 songs, but then played the broken dog dick song to finish it up. this was their first show in a really long time. once they get back in tour shape, they will be ridiculous once again.

"The only draw back is that DIY venues in PVD are full of smelly crusts who don't necessarily respect the law, but they respect the music, bands, promoters, and venues. The Wheelchair might implode itself with negative internal forces. Bad attitudes like the ones the people throwing and smashing bottles have are what kills sweet deals like this venue. If you must get drunk, get drunk. But if you want to fight and smash bottles, find another place to do it or this venue will be another small show blip on the history books for return to the pit."- aaron micheal poppadopalous

the most profound statement ever
