I did a spotlight search for lightning and found the that the lightning wallpaper's info dealy says it's in library >desktop pictures > black and white. For some reason I do not see a desktop pictures folder, but I can open the picture from the spotlight search and save it wherever. |

I think I can spare 84k. I don't know what you're using, but from past experiences with stardock stuff and windowblinds, it's just wasting resources. The most noticeable element of the desktop are the background, and the menu bar. The background can be whatever you want, and the taskbar can autohide. I just run everything stripped down, like MSD, and all the stuff I use normally is easily accessible from the start menu. Fancy tweaked out desktops are neat, but it's the equivalent of painting your hammer, or doing some nice calligraphy on your tape measure. Why dick around tweaking the tool, when you could be using the tool instead? |
