So we can all agree that a good portion of humanity should never breed.
-Reverse vasectomies are available
-Well...circumcision became standard
-At the earliest age safe for development, we give all male children a vasectomy
-Create a test that parents have to pass in order to prove that they have the moral aptitude to actually raise a kid that won't just be a piece of shit.
-If you pass...your shit gets fixed
-You can take the test once a year.
Abortion problem is resolved for the most part
Population problem reduced

Considering many of the smartest people in our species in years past endorsed it, it's not a terrible idea.
It can be done without leaving victims. Sterilization is an option. Those who cannot have kids of their own can adopt.

I'd like to clear up a common misconception.
While I'm not exactly sure what the criteria will be, in the sense that this could be proposed (and laughed at)...but I know that it will not be a matter of IQ. It would be nice if overall we became smarter on average eventually...of course. I don't think that dumb people should stop breeding (who will do the manual labor?)...I really don't have my criterion figured out, but yeah...

aril....IQ don't mean shit....it's more about common sense, there are too many people out there with little to no common sense, little to no common courtesy, little to no money, and they have litters of children.
it's a big problem.
you having an IQ of 70 doesn't mean a fuckin thing, you seem intelligent, if you take care of your kid(s) and make sure they don't end up complete morons, you have done well as a parent.
but someone with no job, no money, and very little common sense should not be allowed even one child....there are too many children that are either going without things they need, or getting what they need by mommy and/or daddy scrounging off of the government.
i understand helping those who need help, but i am sick of helping those who already have nothing and insist on reproducing.

if ya wanna get technical, IQ can mean alot, if you are trying to get into a certain school, or on Jeopardy, or to land a job that lists it as a requirement....
but some people score low on IQ tests because they just don't do well with tests, or crack under pressure

IQ tests are not 100% accurate, either.
I think it's easy to tell if someone is intelligent the old-fashioned way: by talking to them.
Also, that being said, I think SAT scores mean jack shit for determining someone's eligibility in getting into some schools.
