Thank you, Mark...finally a little sanity.

They had two albums that had breakdowns. Oddly through those, they were on that site. Now they're more of a Prog Metal band and they're removed?

I mean...it's a shitty site. Just about every band has some sort of label they don't merit. But I don't understand why BTBAM would have been removed.

BTBAM deserves to be up there more than other bands I've seen (unless they're deleting those too).

I think Millenial Kingdom and Brian were right though, it seems BTBAM's newer stuff is a little more proggy than the older stuff. Not sure why they'd take it down now.

But I think a lot of the mods think any band that has had a "breakdown" in any of their songs is highly frowned upon.
but like i said above, who are they to define what's metal and what's not. certainly doesn't make sense when they delete shit they accepted

By that logic, Slayer shouldn't be allowed to be on the site. Raining Blood has the sickest one chord chug in history. Even Hell Awaits had chugs.

markrichardsmobile said:As far as the whole BTBAM thing is concerned, they've maybe had about 5% "core" anything in their entire discography.

the self titled and the silent circus were their only good records IMO.

and wtf is up with me getting people names wrong all the time? wrong first name, right last name and proper reference. ugh

I thoroughly enjoyed the s/t. Silent Circus just didn't do it for me. Alaska was really good, mainly because half of Glass Casket is on it. I thought Colors was fucking crap when I first heard it, then it grew on me. I have to be in the mood for it though.

I'm only really in for the first self/titled and silent circus as well.

Their more "metal" material is less interesting to me...but it's still more "metal" and that's what the site is about.

i honestly haven't heard enough after the s/t so my opinion does not matter whatsoever haha. i DO remember, though, the song "naked by the computer" basically describes half of my life

Seriously, I cannot fucking get sick of that album. We Are Gathered Here Today is decent, but DMD is just too good.

I have the exact opposite feeling on them...I LOVE We Are Gathered Here Today, but Desperate Man's Diary never caught on with me

Good. But HDEO is clearly metal. They need to hold the line to keep out the hipster metal shit, not fanatical tributes.

I've seen this band before, they sounded pretty heavy to me.
