i really hope youre serious that misery index might be playing this. that would very well make up for ion dissonance. but does that mean neuraxis might have trouble as well? theyre also from canada.

Rudra won't have any merch either, but told the US customs people in their country they are going to play a couple of non-paying gigs. Maybe I should have Stone Cutter set up a fake receipt saying they are also recording. Does anyone know about this sort of thing?
the canadian border is tough. fortunately, when we went there, we knew some people there who could back up our bogus story. we went in two vans. the first van went through with 5 guys and the equipment (there were 4 bands, we shared gear) and they said that they were playing a friends wedding party. they gave the girls name and number and when customs called her, she confirmed the story. the rest of us went over the next day and said we were just going up to st. catherine street to party. it was insanely cold out, and i think that's the only reason they didn't search our van. i assume stone cutter is a studio? just give the guy a heads up that he may get a call from US customs and to say that rudra has a recording date, and everything should work out fine. as long as they can't PROVE you're lying i think they have to let you through.
i hope that any of that may help you. i don't know what overseas bands generally do to come here, but i think as long as they don't have a criminal record or haven't causeed any previous disturbance in the US they should be fine. The good pepole at Armageddon bring european bands over here pretty fequently, maybe you could call them.

That fucking show killed. Any of you fucks that missed it, suck. Leng Tche was one of the best bands I have ever seen. Man did they fucking destroy. Good dudes even though I couldn't understand half of what they said.

Leng Tche should move to Boston, we need more bands like that around here.
You know it's a great show when watchmaker doesn't totally upstage the other acts, and they didn't this time.

watchmaker: holy crap! my first time seeing them in a year and a 1/2 where you couldn't hear anything. this night, they truly were amazing. the pictures I took do in no way, shape or form show the raw brutal onslaught that was their performance. the funny thing is that they were crazy yet hardly moved at all. Granted, I thought I was going to get clipped by that saw blade a bunch of times. their music is a weird mixture of chaotic noise, sonic space-rock bridges, and sheer screaming terror. It funny how the newest member, mark kevorkian, seems to do an aweful lot.. I wonder what they did without him.
leng tche: starting before I knew what was going on. this band scored another 10. I went over there and the singer was running into the crowd with a ninja costume on. their music was awesome too. it made it more awesome when the singer got up on the band and sang from up there. The singer kept running through the crowd and almost mashing dance, but never actually did. If the crazy asian lady wasn't sitting in the kitchen, I'm sure she would have gone crazy about the movement.
neuraxis: yeah, they sonded just like the mp3s I've heard of them. they reminded me of a more melodic version of napalm death. in the end of their set, all the members of leng'tche came out and they mashed it up. everyone pushed and rolling around every one. I just ot on a chair and snapped away.

i can't believe i'd never heard leng t'che before. i bought the cd and just as i suspected, more fucking brutality. Thanks joe and brian for booking this show.
