Hey guys, these are a few of the things I've been looking into getting. I'm pretty new to the recording world. I mainly want to be able to record high quality guitar tracks and possibly some vocals. I know USB is slow, but that doesn't mean the quality will suck. I'd prefer firewire, PCI will be going obsolete won't it? Which interface do you think will be the best bang for my buck but with excellent quality? At the same time I do need a soundcard to replace my old soundblaster live. I'm not sure if I get a PCI recording card will I be able to hook my PC speakers up to it or not? Where's Arrowhead from Pillory when ya need him?[/QUOTE]
