i just listened to that song he has on myspace. i'll give that guy some credit for being a one man band and doing all the instruments himself. christianity really doesn't fit with black metal, but this guy's music isn't horrible. i'd say it's well done for what it is.

Thanks. I am the original poster. I knew for a fact that I would be criticized for playing black metal with Christian lyrics. Have you even read the lyrics to see what they say? Just curious. It doesn't bother me at all. I was just looking for some comments on the music. Thank you VoidExpression and dreadkill. We were a live band once, but when I moved to the United States I decided to take it solo. About the accursed, I have never heard the band "accursed." There are about 50 bands and projects in the United States that are considered Christian. I am not here to preach or anything. Just to promote my band like everyone else does. Thanks.

Clever though. You're playing games, and I'm personally not a fan of allowing these little word wars to go on with my band's name being tossed around or my fucking family involved, so by all means, if you feel the need, keep talking, and we can resolve it some other time in a more personal way, if necessary. See, in my opinion, the more intelligent solution would be to let it go, and shut the fuck up so that it doesn't have to come to that. Hello, This is the original poster from Sorrowstorm. It was mentioned that there was a band / project that made a song called "Invert the Inverted Cross." This was what basically started the Christian black metal (or unblack) movement. It was called Horde, from Australia. Presently most of the bands of this nature are present in Latin America and Scandinavia. Somebody said something about pushing religion onto others. I was just going to ask, did I push any of my beliefs on any of you? I was just promoting my band, like I said, like everyone else. I did not come here to start religious debate. It doesn't matter to me if one thinks of Christian black metal as gay, oxymorinic, whatever. If you are open minded you could read the "blogs" posted on the http://www.myspace.com/sorrowstorm site. If anything, many people have pushed their beliefs down my throat while I do nothing but promote my band. I don't think it's very cool to judge right away without investigating the matter. I am not here to make enemies.

AS for the "death to life metal" comment, I have never used that term at all. It's just not a genre in my opinion. A genre is a genre in my opinion. Death, black, grindcore, doom. Some people are under the impression that christians do not know much about metal. Nothing could be further from the truth. My favorite band is Suffocation. What's yours? If you listened to the myspace song for sorrowstorm, could you tell it was Christian if you didn't know? Just a thought. Call me crazy but each person has their passion. I take this very seriously and would like some mature debate. I'm sure that every one of you has something valuable to put on the table, even if it is against me.

Sorrowstorm, I met you at the store we probably had a few talks about your band.The music isnt that bad, do something about the cymbals sound. Nothing that I would listen to one my own. The lyrics I dont care about I'm not Christian and not about to become one.
As far as christianity, well you believe in whatever god you wanna believe. For me only one thing is real:death and god is dead.
I just think that the whole Christian Black Metal movement is total sacrilege, non-respect towards those BM bands. A lot of the Scandinavian BM bands come from the point of view that Christianity destroyed their culture, and their way of life...even if this was a long time ago, that's their history so I dont blame them for believing that. Christianity changed Scandinavia way of life along with their believes. Those fucking crusades were/are totaly disrespectful. So I think Christianity did enough already to destroy them (not only them) that you guys dont need to add anymore to this. Cause as far as I know BM comes from Scandinavia.
So please, Christian stay out of the Black Metal scene. You did enough damages already.
PS:I cant really elaborate more cause I'm lacking knowledge as far as history and norse mythology goes.

As far as christianity, well you believe in whatever god you wanna believe. For me only one thing is real:death and god is dead.
I just think that the whole Christian Black Metal movement is total sacrilege, non-respect towards those BM bands. A lot of the Scandinavian BM bands come from the point of view that Christianity destroyed their culture, and their way of life...even if this was a long time ago, that's their history so I dont blame them for believing that. Christianity changed Scandinavia way of life along with their believes. Those fucking crusades were/are totaly disrespectful. So I think Christianity did enough already to destroy them (not only them) that you guys dont need to add anymore to this. Cause as far as I know BM comes from Scandinavia.
So please, Christian stay out of the Black Metal scene. You did enough damages already.
PS:I cant really elaborate more cause I'm lacking knowledge as far as history and norse mythology goes.

This is true.
However, crusades came way later in Scandinavian than in the rest Europe. When Vikings raid Europe let say from 800 to 1000ac, Europe was already Christian, Scandinavia was not. It's more recent for them so I guess they didn't quite forget yet.
