eh, everythings already been done before and everythings the same if you step back far enough. that doesn't mean you stop doing what you like and listening to want you like. I mean, I could say, why does CSDO need a CD, I already own critial mass or porphyria is 5 cannibal corpse riffs mix and repeat. the argued term of "old school" that metalcoresucks brought up is simply a retarded argument (I'm guessing cause he went off anti-depresents which I'm for once suggesting he goes back on). EVERYONE is inflenced by someone before them. unless you are like gungadoo sandpeople who have never left your tent, you are influenced by musics before you. if a band is "old school", what are the bands before that "older school"? "really old old school"? I would have to say compared to "in the day" there are a million million million more different sounds out there to choose from. in my mind, "in the day" translates to "when all the bands sounded the same, but I liked it". today, you have so many fusion genres that genres are dying and forming everytime I open my mouth. Things evolve and if you don't keep you, you become and antique really fast. draw a line in the sand that you won't cross and you will find your audiences shrinking until your music becomes classical music. so far, you haven't done that. granted you are playing most of the same songs from the first time I saw you in the early 90's, but you play with other bands that have newer style and different people as their fans to get into your music and perhaps work that music into their life some how. won't you feel good if one of the neversaynever kid's fans goes out and buys a copy of critical mass after seeing you guys live? the worst part about this thread is that everyone in this thread likes Overkill and there is still bitching. I for one am going to be at the show, enjoying all the bands and when the show is over, I'm putting the pictures in the other forum where there isn't all this retardedness.
