Void Expression back on the air (+ other news)[views:3053][posts:7]________________________________________ [Apr 3,2006 12:01am - VoidExpression ""] Hey guys, to everyone interested, we are back on the air (Sunday nights 10-1 90.3 FM in Boston, http://www.wzbc.org elsewhere) after my surgery and subsequent stay in the hospital, though tonight's show is once again cut short because of not feeling so hot (probably end around 12:30). In other news, we're going to be expanding the website to include weekly reviews, but I am by no means a writer, so take that with a grain of salt. We are also finally going to get on the ball and start podcasting next week, and I'll post up the link if anyone is interested then. As far as shows, we have the following coming up: May 25 - Splatterhouse/Machetazo/Dissector...more @ Bill's Bar June 1 - Boris/Growing/Thrones @ Middle East September ? - Woods of Ypres/Green Evening Requiem/Tyrannum...more @ ? There will be a few more in there as well, but that's all I have for now. We scrapped the Vermont festival for another year so we can do it up right. Thanks! |

______________________________________ [Apr 5,2006 7:40pm - Phrozenspite ""] Search News: Dissection - To Release Limited Copies of 'Starless Aeon' Single posted on Apr 05 2006 06:45 pm On April 30 Sweden’s metal pioneers DISSECTION will release a “Starless Aeon” CD-single, limited to 1,000 copies and will be available only in North America from THE END RECORDS mailorder website. The CD-single, which will also contain the video for the song “Starless Aeon,” has the following tracklisting: 1. Starless Aeon (Album Version) 2. Xeper-I-Set (Album Version) 3. Starless Aeon (Instrumental Version) 4. Bonus Video: Starless Aeon (Original Edit) About the unique video accompanying the CD-single, singer and guitarist Jon Nödtveidt says, “For the making of the video to "Starless Aeon", the first song from "ReinKaos" to become visual, DISSECTION explore a special filming technique, shooting scenes backwards, with the band literally having to perform their music and sing the lyrics backwards. The filmed sequences have then ultimately been reversed again, with an original backwards sequence playing forwards in sync with the album version of the song. The visual result appears rather sick and disturbing, and like the rest of the video, very dark.” The video will also get its debut on MP3.com this Monday, April 10. comments [0] SiKth - Release Tracklisting for "Death of a Dead Day" posted on Apr 05 2006 06:43 pm London based SIKTH have released the track listing for their Bieler Bros. debut “Death of a Dead Day”. 1. If you think you have what it takes, you can check out the details here. The band has also offered the following update on their upcoming new album: "CATTLE DECAPITATION is happy to announce "Karma.Bloody.Karma." as the title of the next record. NO, there is not any religious significance of the title. NO, the name does not imply that we're "crazy vegans" trying to push our lifestyle onto people (as a lot of gabbing internet idiots like to pigeonhole us as). It is simply about the "greatest natural disaster of all time," humanity, and revenge for its effect on this planet. This will be the most nihilistic, pessimistic and hateful record we've ever done lyrically, and musically you can expect, what one of our friends has said perfectly about it, a very "schitzophrenic" release! Imagine the CANINUS split material, just longer in every way. Features guest appearances by Joey Karam(THE LOCUST) and John Wiese(SUNN 0))), BASTARD NOISE). Produced by Billy Anderson(SWANS, MR. BUNGLE, MELVINS). Available June/July 2006! Here's the goddamn track list: 1. Intro 2. Unintelligent Design 3. Success Is…(Hanging By the Neck) 4. One Thousand Times Decapitation 5. The Carcass Derrick 6. Total Gore 7. Bereavement 8. Suspended In Coprolite 9. Alone At The Landfill 10. Karma.Bloody.Karma. 11. The New Dawn 12. Of Human Pride & Flatulence" You may view the album cover here. "We have a new addition to CATTLE DECAPITATION. A new second guitar player by the name of Kevin "Fetus" Bernier of L.A.’s Watch Me Burn/Fetus Eaters/Deadfood/Vomitcore Records. He's been an amazing friend of ours since the beginning and we're very excited to start playing live with him. We'll try our hardest to have him ready for the NECROPHAGIST tour! comments [2] Sunn O))) - Return to US for Tour with Japan's Boris posted on Apr 05 2006 04:10 pm Still supporting the monolithic "Black One" release, SUNN O))) return to American shores after annihilating Europe with EARTH.
