Joshtruction said:
I am also waiting for my friend chad to get his pedals in production. His company is called "Chadder box effects" and his products (while only prototypes) sound absolutely amazing. He also offerd to make me jsut a line booster too. Maybe I can try the badmonkey and see how it is. I would really like to borrow a shitload of overdrives and run them all through the test and see how they do against eaxch other. Maybe even do a review on them.
im way ahead of you, ive been doing heavy boost pedal testing for the past 8 months. throw out some suggestions and ill tell you how i feel about them. the best ones i have come across are: ibanez ts9 ibanez ts808 digitech bad monkey digitech screamin blues boss sd1 boss bd2 fulltone ocd (pricey) maxon od9 maxon od808 hao rust booster (pricey) hao rust driver (pricey) mi audio blues driver (pricey) my favorites out of those are in order: ocd, od808, ts808 and bad monkey. however i use a ibanez ts7 heavily modified to vintage ts808 specs with a carbon comp resistors for a smoother tone. my modded tubescreamer is the closest to the ocd that ive found, and for half the price.
