______________________________ [Dec 28,2006 3:20pm - Yeti ""] the show about the Revelation of John was great, it pretty much showed that he was a raving lunatic trapped in a cave, not a visionary. |
_____________________________ [Dec 28,2006 3:21pm - pam ""] Pretty much anything on here I love, but WWII is definitely my favorite stuff. Taking a class on WWII this coming semester, I can't wait. |

____________________________________________________ [Dec 28,2006 3:24pm - menstrual_sweatpants_disco ""] It's amazing how shitty of a job my town's school system did. They were trying to cram history down my throat and I couldn't care less. Now I learn about it on my own willingly. I remember in middle school they started teaching the american revolution, which I didn't give a shit about (and still don't). The next year it was ancient greece and shit like that. Then the next year they really mixed it up and started teaching us about the american revolution... again. I guess they tried to see if they could top the bad job they did the first time. |
_______________________________ [Dec 28,2006 3:26pm - yummy ""] In school, science and history were my least favorite subjects, now they are my favorites. |
_____________________________ [Dec 28,2006 3:28pm - pam ""] Yeah that's exactly what happened to me too. It went from Columbus (what a BS story they feed you on him) to the revolution and that's it. It's funny cause I fucking loved my American History to 1877 class this semester despite how turned off I got on that in school. I guess getting the no frills/bullshit version makes it more interesting. |
______________________________ [Dec 28,2006 3:28pm - Yeti ""] i personally hated those in school because they didnt teach you anything interesting. they were more concerned with whether you knew exactly what minute of the day it happened rather than the impact it had, what started it etc. plus when i started researching it myself for papers or whatever, i started to see that what i was being taught wasnt exactly the truth. |
_____________________________________ [Dec 28,2006 3:33pm - KeithMutiny ""] i love when they discredit the bible. |
