Saturnus i have been into since 01 when "Martyre" first came out or so. good doom. their older stuff is a little more "artsy" to me, but it still rules. their newest offering is awesome as well. depressing in a good sense. these guys can really play with emotions. "Veronika Decides to Die" is the name of the album. get it. Swallow the Sun is a newer band. their first album came out in like 03 i think... i bought that because the band sounded like they were doom and i was right. Through Her Silvery Body. thats the first one. it was pretty good. then their second album came out "Ghosts of Loss". that album was just killer. they just released a new one that i havent even fully heard and it seems like they are progressing well. there are faster parts in the new one now as well as full on DOOM. "Hope" is the name of the new one, and you guys should look out for it. basically if you are stuck on the classics and havent heard much of the new doom... check out these guys. great shit. [/QUOTE]
