Nothing works, ive tried everything. no matter what anyone tells you, nothing will EVER work. Take care of your shit and if thats too much to ask, buy a new cd/dvd

you can put toothpase on them and let it dry, then wipe it off, that will fill the cracks where scratches are. just make sure you wipe off any remaining toothpaste from the cd before you put it back in a cd player.

you can also buy a cd cleaning kit at wal mart for 10 bucks or something like that. it has stuff that hardens in the cracks so they'll work again and then polish it from the inside of the cd outward. i've done this many times and it saved quite a few of my cds.

Dish soap and warm water. If the scratch is too bad, you are fucked.

i've heard of that before. though if its a label side scratch the cd is doomed.
