They are not a complete standard yet and that is for a reason. If you are getting 8 Mbps from cable internet, that is probably the fastest you are going to get unless you go to a T1 line or FIOS from verizon. I agree with the rev, surfboard cable modem into a Linksys G router. If you are looking for a better signal with less dead spots, grab the Linksys Wireless G SRX200 router.
