Him and Peter Tatgren are both musical geniouses. I believe he also worked with Mikael Akerfeldt in Bloodbath (who fucking rule by the way.) Your are looking at a genre of music where a number of these like-minded bands have tremendous influence on eachother. Bands like Opeth, Katatonia, Green Carnation, Porcupine Tree, Diabolical Masquerade, and October Tide write with the same feeling at times but I believe they all have something different to offer. "Rip-off" is a term that gets thrown around with little conviction these days. |
