drum (pedal) suggestions?[views:4874][posts:31]____________________________ [Mar 2,2007 4:12pm - mOe ""] I'm gonna be needing a new double pedal within the next 3-6 months I have an Iron Cobra Power Glidge thats been fine up until lately. I'm heavy footed and the thing just cant take it anymore. I've had it for almost 3 years and its time for something new. I'm looking at either a DW 5000 or a Pearl Eliminator. I know the 5000's are the balls but the Eliminator is cheap. And NO, i dont want a 9000 or fuckin pussy ass Axis pedals, br0. Suggestions??? |

I remember not liking it because it wasn't as responsive as I like, but I only played it briefly and dind't adjust it or anything. If I were you, I would look into maybe a janus pedal. before I sold my export, I had a janus and it was amazing. adjustable, build like a tank, and played liek butter. I've had problems with my old eliminater single, and the drummer from pull the trigger had an eliminator that was a huge pain to adjust to get an equal master/slave pedal feel. However, the current drummer from the body farm has an eliminator and he swears by it. He can't play another pedal after using his. He is black though, I know you might not want the same pedal as one of his kind moe. |

It has the smoothest feel and most precise adjustability of any pedal I've played. The only thing I'd get over it would be a custom-made pedal, and until I can play drums well, that ain't gonna happen. Pearl pedals aren't bad, but the cams just arent as fluid as the DW. And that goofy footplate on the pedal annoyed both my foot and eyes. DW pedals are made for drummers, period |

I didn't realize it was the same as your pedal Murph. I must have just not liked the settings on yours, I remember the beaters being really loose and fluid and it made my inconsistant double bass skills stand out more haha. |
