And so begins one of the funnest shows I get to attend on an annual basis. This is the 4th year that they put this on and the 4th year that I'm here taking pictures. This year has mostly just locals. Lucky for us, the tiger's den scene has spawned a crazy amount of hardcore bands, keeping up the quality of larger bands. Looking at the line up, there are plenty of bands that don't have a single breakdown so it should be a good night. A lot of the attendees are young kids and probably are just here for a good show and don't really know about the benefit aspect, but that's what this is all about. One of the very few shows in a year (if not the only) that even I pay to get into. I was hanging out outside earlier. You know, just talking about hardcore things like mortgages, the housing market, etc.. when my manhood was taking from me. How you ask? Brophy made fun of me. I have been humbled. He let out the secret that I'm always about to go on a hike. After this show, I've got to get to my tent which is a 5 mile hike. [band=Near_Defeat]: good way to start the day. Some where between the fun of the neon hookers and the brutality of in rememberance. I guess I've seen them before, but I forget. People in the audience knew them and at this earlier point in the show were clearly ready to bring home the mosh. Will those same crowd members stand for he whole day? I guess we'll find out later.
