Dracula Has Risen From the Grave[views:3617][posts:15]____________________________________ [Sep 12,2007 12:24am - starmummy ""] Anyone seen this? I'm watching it right now and I can't fucking believe this movie is Rated G?!? It's got tons of blood, cleavage, drinking, etc. The bite marks on the victims necks are friggin' nasty. And then there are Christopher Lee's Bloody eyes! If I had seen this as a kid I would have been traumatized. I guess back in 1968 the MPAA were still a little new and unsure what the fuck they were doing. |

____________________________________ [Sep 12,2007 12:49am - starmummy ""] I thought the ratings came out in 1967? Regardless, this movie should have been at least PG (I believe PG-13 didn't come out until around 1984). |
_______________________________ [Sep 12,2007 10:42am - Yeti ""] PG-13 didn't come out until Red Dawn, but Temple of Doom is the first movie officially rated PG-13. |

Weird, I was just looking at my vhs version of this movie the other day and it says PG. This movie should have been rated R. |
_______________________________ [Sep 12,2007 10:48am - Yeti ""] oops, i got those reversed, Temple of Doom was the reason they created PG-13, but Red Dawn was the first movie actually rated PG-13. |

I thought Gremlins was the reason they created PG-13. You know, I heard that too. Someone will have to google this. |

Red Dawn was the first movie officially released with a PG-13 rating. The Flamingo Kid is technically the first, but apparently it sat on the shelves for 5 months prior to release. |
