I can see where the smoke is coming from its not the tube its ina spot where i can really get too...any help. We have a show this saturday with Enslaved so im hoping to resolve it by then. Throw it out. Marshalls always break. Mesa is built like a tank!

Replace immediately with non-Marshall product.

Marshall Valvestate 2000 Heads are very unreliable (as you have seen.)

The price to fix it may be more than what the head is worth.

Dammit, I knew someone would beat me to saying "throw it out." BUT, I'd have to disagree on the Mesa comment. Although there are many people who have no problems with their Mesas, there are a probably an equal amount of people who have problems with them, especially with blowing fuses. Not really much to fix, but a fucking hassle nonetheless.

Well I havent had any problems with it in about 6 years. It has held up quite well for some of things it has been through. I know I cant expect it too last a whole lot longer but, just dont have much money right no to do much more than repair it. Just trying to figure out its a transformer problem or some other circut problem.

How much were you looking to spend to repair it?

i'm not going to offer advice for you in your current predicament, but i will cleverly tell you to buy a really expensive amp, even though you've already said you don't have the money right now.

whatever it worked good for six years, and im in a black metal band so i dont think it really matters how it sounds.:gun: Just need something loud enough that will withstand lots of fake blood, corpse paint, and ritual goat slayings...no one really listens to the music anyway. I will just scream louder.
