GIGANTOUR Lineup Officially Announced[views:2822][posts:15]_______________________________ [Jan 1,2008 4:35pm - zyklon ""] MEGADETH has now officially revealed the lineup for this year's North American edition of Gigantour, which will kick off mid-April and run through the end of May. Joining MEGADETH on the bill will be IN FLAMES, CHILDREN OF BODOM, JOB FOR A COWBOY and HIGH ON FIRE. Commented MEGADETH mainman Dave Mustaine: "The breaking news is we are going to have five bands this year, instead of eight. The decision to drop it down from eight bands to five was based on timing, set lengths, stage sizes, unions, and most importantly allowing 'us' — the musicians — to deliver to 'you' — the fans — the best shows we can." As previously reported, MEGADETH, LAMB OF GOD, OPETH and ARCH ENEMY are among the artists featured on the "Gigantour 2" DVD, due on April 22, 2008 via Image Entertainment. The disc — which was recorded in 2006 during the second installment of MEGADETH mainman Dave Mustaine's traveling heavy metal festival — will feature the following track listing: 01. The "Gigantour" CD, which came out on August 22, 2006 sold around 500 copies in its first week of release, according to Nielsen SoundScan. |
