DVDs to divx/avi[views:4276][posts:5]_______________________________________ [Jan 10,2008 11:39am - the_reverend ""] I decided to back up all my DVDs to my hard drives to that I don't have to get up and change DVDs like a sucker anymore. The PS3 will support DIVX soon and carina's got her itouch that she wants to watch movies on. Since I hardly never watch DVDs at all (hate changing them) I figure if they are on a hard drive somewhere, I will watch them more. And why not, all my CDs are on mp3 now anyhow. Does anyone out there do this? I'm trying to rip some things now... and it's taking soooo long. DVDFAB = ripper autogk = encoder the file's been cranking away for an hour on one 55 minute file. |

My production chain basically goes DVD Decrypter -> DGindex -> a few cleanups in the AVS script -> Virtual Dub with maybe a couple filters depending on how beat up the picture is and if I care about fixing it, but if you don't care about removing interlacing or stuff, some of these steps can be skipped. Also, this is old kit, and whatever's been put out recently is probably better and faster. |
