Guitar Effect Pedals[views:1754][posts:20]_______________________________ [Mar 20,2008 1:37pm - aril ""] I've recently decided I want to grab some more stompboxes just for the hell of it.. I'm not talking Distortion or anything like that - I currently have that (don't use it) and a delay pedal. I also have one of those big digitech multi-pedals, can't remember the model number. Anyway, there's a couple sounds I'm interested in creating.. help me out if you can: "Thick" Lead sound - think Old Dissection lead sounds, old In Flames, hopefully you get the idea. Like for example, the lead on Where Dead Angels Lie uses this sound. I'm not too sure if it's a combination of effects, the amp, or whathaveyou. Acoustic Guitar Simulator: Never really used one of these... does anyone recommend one or have experience with one? Although I have an acou/elec, I'm looking for one of these. a GOOD flange pedal: recommendations? and a good Chorus pedal. recommend me some. Thanks |

I have a Boss Acoustic Simulator...it's pretty cool and does the job well enough; you're never going to get an electric guitar with hot pickups to REALLY sound like an acoustic but this pedal gets you close enough. Good thick lead sounds...I think you just need to tweak your head, maybe get a boost pedal like a TS9 or something... |

His modded Tube Screamer and the Keeley Compressor should give you that lead tone you covet without the noise. I think you even get a discount when you order them together. Party like a werewolf. |

No, the cop was not all enough to reach a keyboard. In fact, his uniform didn't fit. Haha -- vertically challenged cops are hilarious. They are also douchebags, because they are angry at the world that they are 5'3". |

I'm not too sure if it's a combination of effects, the amp, or whathaveyou. i know that at the gates used the boss HM-2 heavy metal pedal for 'slaughter of the soul,' and im pretty sure i heard somewhere that in flames, and dark tranquility used it too in their older stuff. they stopped making em awhile ago, but they go on ebay for like 40-50 bucks. |
