The band, founded in 2001, has so far released two highly acclaimed albums, …And Time Begins and Diminishing Between Worlds in 2003 and 2008. Here’s a statement from the band: “Nuclear Blast Records has a special tradition for signing some of the best metal acts of all time including DEATH, DIMMU BORGIR, TESTAMENT and EXODUS just to name a few. We feel very lucky and honoured to be a part of the family! Our intention is to take the music to the next level and continue to release quality Progressive Death Metal. We are confident to have Nuclear Blast Records in our corner! We also want to thank Unique Leader Records very much for the years of dedication to DECREPIT BIRTH. After we complete more touring in support of the current release, we will begin pre-production for the next album.” |

You get to the "next level" and people talk smack. I guess cryptopsy finally hit "the next level". FWIW I got faith these dudes will crank out another bad ass album. |

Not just because I think they are one of the best, and i want them to do well, but also because now when they tour we MIGHT get more than 25minutes outta them. Love em live, but i think once on a major label they will be able to really play longer, and perhaps have a couple dedicated techs who do thier sound wherever they go... Sweet sweetness. |
