6th Man on the moon announces UFO's/Aliens exist?

Edgar Mitchell (from Apollo 14) was interviewed on Kerrang the other night and listed his knowledge of the ufo phenomenon and the military's acknowledgement, saying we're not alone in the universe

Here's the recording of the interview

bennyhillifier

And extra links http://www.kerrangradio.co.uk/Article.asp?id=804160&spid=

He's been saying this stuff for a decade or so, but it's the first time he's gotten into more details and was available to a huge audience like Kerrang in the UK

Here's a few cliff notes from the interview for those that don't care....

He says we have been visited, and that UFOs have been covered up by the government for a long time.

The host almost has a stroke during the interview he's so shocked.

Edgar says it is a real phenomena.

He says he's been inside military circles and they know we've been visited and talk about it behind closed doors.

He says he's been involved in certain research committees and knows people who know the real story.

There is quite a bit of contact going on.

The Roswell crash was real.

Doesn't know if Disclosure will be this year or not...

Public acceptance is increasing.

Not all UFOs are of ET origin. Some are home-grown. But some are ET crafts.

He's not concerned about his safety talking about it openly anymore.

Alien intent is not hostile.

Some others involved in the Moon landing also know the truth.

The host made the point that this is the first time Edgar has stated so clearly that ET life exists and UFOs are real. He's hinted at it, but this is the first time ever...

I love it when guys like this come out with disclosure on this stuff. People are free to believe whatever they want really, but when guys like this disclose this sort of information it's tough to just turn away from it.

i believe guys like this and former area 51 workers that have confessed to such things...exp..the lady that was a secretary at area 51 that confessed all the remains of the roswell crash she witnessed among other things. She was 92 when she finally decided to tell her story without worry of the oath of silence she took back then and died months after..what did she have to lose?..just like ed mitchell..im sure many years ago he would have gotten in trouble for these statements....but as ones gets older...who cares about that shit.

I figured the various world leaders had to have been in contact with other life, this just kinda seals the deal for me. I'd love to know what kind of knowledge they're imparting.

Also good that we apparently don't just try to shoot the motherfuckers down yeeeeeehaw.

I saw an interview with this guy on the Fan at comcast.net and I was pissed because they tried to talk down to him as if he was retarded. I believe this guy because he is old and has nothing to gain or lose [at least I wouldn't imagine he did], so why make up a false story?

he's an MIT grad - an astronaut. brilliant man by all means.
this is ground breaking for UFOlogy, even though he's stated it in the past. this was on KERRANG! radio which reaches out to a younger audience.
disclosure is coming soon. i don't know if you've noticed but UFO news has been in the mainstream media more and more. Larry King, for example, has had about 5 UFO shows in the past few weeks.

are you kidding me? astronauts are elite intellectuals with education and training that takes YEARS. they are exposed to many different things and I highly doubt this man would make this stuff up for five minutes of fame.

clearly youve never been famous and then largely forgotten

Im sure the fact that he walked on the moon meant alot when it happened, and I bet his hometown has him on a permanent billboard, but really, the SIXTH guy to walk on the moon, this is America, if your not number one you might as well quit

and the fact that most everyday people dont know who he is or what he did now, as compared to when he was famous, only furthers the theory that he is doing it for fame, who gave a fuck about skreach between the sex tape and saved by the bell?

even if all this is true, and he saw all this crap, what took him so long to come out with it? why did he wait until he was borderline senile? same goes for area 51 working lady, 90 something years old, "nothing to lose" nothing, everything to gain

to boot, the guy is selling his autograph for $50 bones a pop on his website, certainly he's not trying to capitalize on his fame...

griz i'm supposed to play devil's advocate, not you! In this case though i kinda gotta go with this guy at least mostly speaking the truth.

The guys who walked on the moon were the best of the best. just the fact that they, out of thousands of prospects were the ones to get picked to go to the moon meant they were the cream of the crop. they were highly trained on being observant and objective. Most of them were either top scientists or top pilots.

For a nasa astronaut to report that they saw little green men in the height of the space race would have had them labeled as out of their mind and would put the whole nasa program in jeopardy of losing credibility.

Most military pilots who report seeing UFO's dont want to make official statements on it for fear of being ridiculed.

check out his wikipedia. sounds like a loon to me.

Mitchell says that a teenage remote healer who lives in Vancouver and uses the pseudonym Adam Dreamhealer, helped him heal of kidney cancer at a distance. Mitchell said that while he never had a biopsy (the definitive test for cancer), "I had a sonogram and MRI that was consistent with renal carcinoma." Adam worked (distantly) on Mitchell from December of 2003 until June of 2004, when the "irregularity was gone and we haven't seen it since".

i agree with Grizloch. yes, he is an astronaut, he walked on the moon, those are all untouchable credentials. but that doesn't mean that every word he speaks is the truth. what if he came out and said that he touched the face of god? would you believe that? to him, he might have had the most unbelievable religious experience, and its the truth. what better way for an astronaut to get his name out again than to start professing knowledge of truth in UFO's? his credentials make for a solid argument, and there is no way to prove or disprove it.
 _______________________________
[Jul 28,2008 1:05pm - aril  ""]
correct, there is no way to prove or disprove it, because he mentioned he hadn't seen one himself. his credentials to indeed help him out a bit; but there's no actual proof. if you listen to the interview and listen to how he tells it, i think it sounds very sincere. he doesn't mutter or stumble, or anything like that.
this cannot be proved, but it does help UFOlogy and brings it to the attention of more people.
we need disclosure, just like Mexico, France, Belgium, and some other countries have. The US and UK are next to release their files.

I took a course in bioastronomy last year, shits bunk, some dude that went the approximate distance from his door (earth) to his mailbox (the moon) claims that aliens exist when the nearest planet is the metaphorical distance from cali (earth) to chicago (the next closest star that "might" host a life-baring planet), is pretty laughable

people who believe in aliens are about as lucid as people who believe in god, when confronted with the science of the situation they yell obscenities, pull on a tin foil cap and hide underneath a triangle made of copper pipe

my professor believes devoutly that aliens exist, and to a degree believes that they might have had rudimentary contact with humans, but his explanation for it is that the aliens have "technology we could never dream of", which he admits is far fetched to say the least

I don't really get what you're trying to say here but the universe is vast. Clearly Earth isn't special. If some other planet is just far enough away from their star and had the right conditions to start life, it could happen. And, who knows? There could be more elements out there than we know about that could base life off of. Even within the elements we know, life can be based off silicon as well and shit. Alienz iz probablyz realz.

the only simple answer is to deal with what you do know, and to fathom that of which you don't.
the fact remains that no one (citizen) really knows for sure that there are aliens visiting our planet. to me, there's more substantial evidence out there that something is being hidden from us. we will have disclosure in our lifetime; i'll either be shaking my head in shame for believing, or feeling optimistic the advancement of our human race. I have an idea that it'll be the latter.

yo, you nigz be crazy

the vastness of the universe DEFINITELY provides ample opportunity for extra terrestrial life, the odds of any of that life reaching us before either their place of origin, or our planet are extinguished are minimal, and people who think that whithin the next 70 years (our lifetime) we will be contacted by beings from another galaxy that even at light speed is more than 70 years away is just plain silly

if you want to start getting into theoretical physics (ie wormholes, strain theory, etc), then you might as well start using the bible as proof of god

[Jul 28,2008 4:02pm - aril  ""]
you underestimate our advancements in the sciences and theoretical and quantum physics. there are going to be many different breakthroughs in those fields in the coming decades. nothing can travel faster than light at a constant speed, but there are ways around it. nothing has been discovered as of yet, but they're chipping away at it.
I have zero faith in god, but I have faith in our species to advance in the fields of science and technology. I will never use the bible as proof of god, but I'd rather back some of the most brilliant scientists on our planet, who do indeed, believe wormholes and the like are possible. we've only just began to understand.

I see where you're coming from, but years and "light years" mean as little as the word "God" in this case.

And anyway, if our concept of time actually meant anything, who's to say the ETs didn't leave 70 years ago? You SEEM to be assuming (I could be wrong) they're just now gearing up for the trip here. Many-an-ancient-Native tribe has documented contact with "star-beings" etc, and some even base their entire belief system on the idea that they were descended from "Star people". Are they right? Who the hell knows? They might be just as disillusioned as the Bible pushers and everyone else.

All I'm saying is, we understand NOTHING of the workings of the universe. Nevermind the names we want to give our theories, and the fraction of a fraction of the different movements-of-energy that we can see. We know nothing.

Unless, of course, world government HAS been finding and meeting with and learning from these ETs, but they've been doing a damn good job of keeping those facts from us, of it's the case.

But I'm such a cynical bastard that I'm not even sure, if we were in contact, that the ETs wouldn't just be messing with our heads, hahaha.

aril, theories about wormholes and "ways around" lightspeed are essentially long winded ways of saying "well jeepers guys dont you think it would be cool if we could snap our fingers and...", the basis is loosely related to physics and even the worlds most brilliant scientists estimate that only 10 or so people on the planet can even begin to fathom the actual mathematics behind it... so you could say that my faith in humanity (not scientists) to not destroy the world before we can ever contact an extra terrestrial is about equal to your faith in god

kadooganglia, if extra terrestrials left 70 years ago, which is a rough estimation as to how close the nearest life supporting star system is to us, by no means the average, but even if it was 100000 years away by our current understanding of interstellar travel, Im referring to the fact that in order for them to maintain any kind of contact with us in the past x amount of years they would have to have separate expeditions all oriented on earths galactic position in an intermediate period, all presumably manned if you buy into the whole roswell nonsense,

where the light speed thing comes in moreso than for travel is the fact that if extra terrestrials are x many light years away they are seeing an image of earth from that long ago, so being that civilization on earth has existed for maybe 10000 years, on a significant scale for 5000 years, and with extrapersonal communication for 100 years, methinks that interest in our speck of dust like existence in this universe that we know so little about would probably be minimal...

...unless a giant slug like smuggler and arms dealer decides he wants to come to earth and enslave humanity to sell on the interstellar black market...

I have a feeling the Large Hadron Collider (which will start being used in Aug) will lead to many developmental leaps in physics.
We'll see where it brings us.

I still think everyone is underestimating our recent advancements in physics. the large hadron collider will only advance it even further, potentially leading scientists to understand dark matter and antimatter in more ways than we know now. I'd say within the next 100 years, scientists will be much more knowledgeable about quantum and theoretical physics. they're potentioanl going to build an even bigger Hadron Collider, perhaps within the next 30 years.
The question does remain, though, if we're going to destroy ourselves before we find the answers.

Im not even trying to be a dick here, the lhc scares the bejesus out of me, not to say that we shouldnt be doing it, cause the best thing that could possibly come from it is that it wipes out the galaxy, but still...

Im aware of recent developments in physics, a handful of my close friends out at college are physics majors and they go to big physics conventions where people present for a ful week on advancements and yadda yadda yadda, the fact of the matter remains, unless we throw out the book of rudimentary physics (which lhc isnt likely to do), interstellar travel isnt happening in our lifetimes

and Im human so I am pulling for a plague of flesh hungry aliens to come to our planet and try impregnating our women, but Im not holding my breath...
