Oddly enough, I have never considered BOLT THROWER 'war metal'. Even though war is their chosen theme throughout their career, I've always considered 'war metal' to be a variation of black metal where satanism/occultism is replaced by millitary lyrics/aesthetics. |

You're right, I know what you mean. In addition, it is a subgenre that often has a muted dirty sound along with it. I've been really getting into it and I had a thread with lists of bands and links to it: I'm on a War Metal / War Kult kick.
