dude, we can see how they are gimicks that have nothing to do with the music. but it still doesn't change the fact that there is a HUGE difference between eating feces/self-mutilation/assaulting audience members. i don't care if that was "just as shocking" back then, because if his nappy-head caught on fire, someone would have run out with water and save his life. G.G. risked his life on a daily basis. Jimi was flashy and overrated. G.G. was out of his mind!
Like I said, its all just opinion. I wouldn't exactly say GG was risking his like though. Maybe risking getting AIDS, but not the way you mean it. and for the record, I am a GG fan. He made some really shitty records and some really great records. Eat My Fuc, Live Fast Die Fast, You'll Never Tame Me, and Brutality and Bloodshed For All are all awesome records that I would've liked even if I didn't know a single thing about his stage antics. (and that's all they were, stage antics. He did not live his daily life like that at all) Now excuse me while I go sneak off to the bathroom andshoot a bag of dope. Hopefully I'll die like GG did.
