I think they spent too much time touring with clutch after remission came out and they got too mainstream influenced. Drummer-i sold him some cymbals at GC in natick when i worked there and he came through on tour. REAL tall dude. He is a perfect example of how important rudiments are, even to heavy-ass drummers. He's obviously spent a lot of time on them, and he even says that was the key to his playing. Rudiments, rudiments, rudiments... I do em for an hour a night. EVERY night. No matter what. With a metronome of course, and i am not saying i can do them anywhere near as good as he does, but practice, practice, practice, and i will get there. Mark my words. |
