Roland Jazz Chorus Amp (JC-120)?

looking to use it to play everything from blues to rock to doom.

will work great for jazz, blues and some rock. i guess with a quality dirt pedal you could get some good doom sounds out of it.

the jc-120 is more or less the holy grail of clean amps.

i'd really like to see what it sounds like with a fuzz pedal in front of it. i'm sure with a good enough ear and tweaking, it could work well.


my main concern: do you think it would crank "loud enough" stock, with just a distortion/fuzz pedal in front? enough to use in a small to medium sized venue?

yeah, itll be loud enough. though an amp stand would be essential for max projection.

Aside from the Gx130-c by crate, the JC120 is the best solid state amp EVER. That thing is lush and loud. It would be a stellar stoner/doom amp (With a tube screamer and a Dyna drive infront of it)
