__________________________________________ [Dec 1,2008 10:13am - largefreakatzero ""] Just started there, huh? I have been hearing this stupid saying for years. I normally hear it when: A. Someone is getting some horrible task shoved up their ass and they can't do anything about it. B. Someone does not have a solution to a problem and doesn't want think of one (which is normal company policy here). |
______________________________________ [Dec 1,2008 10:14am - the_reverend ""] it's like "know what I mean" or "gider dun", ear sandpaper. |

_______________________________ [Dec 1,2008 11:10am - dftg ""] THAS JUS HOW AH ROLL YOU TRICKASS BUSTAH! I never heard this expression until I started working at the place I work at now. This place is a fucking dead end and I'm dying to get out of here. These two things are not coincidental. The words that people speak never have a strictly literal meaning, there is always something behind the veil that is put up by words that force the listener to think about something else. In the case of "it is what it is," the speaker is almost always stating, in the more literal stranslation, "I don't like this situation, but I'm too lazy or cheap to do anything about it." I spend more time here at work doing shit for my other job than I do actually working for this company. I have a solution to this dead end job problem though, and it's to get the fuck out. I'm gonna look for jobs on craigslist right now. |
