I saw them open for Grails in Boston last year, and thought they were pretty cool, if not a little boring towards the end of the set.

I'll check this out.

I could definitely see falling asleep at a gig, but for sitting around at work programming, or on the bus/train this album does me so right. I feel like this is what Jesu should have done after their first record, more dark and slow, not all electo-y

Their earlier stuff like "Touched" were fun to listen to while high, but the novelty wears off fast. As for jesu, I like the fact that JK's writing process is based off of whatever mood he happens to be in, at the time. I thought his electronic tracks for the Envy split were brilliant.

I never heard that record, will check it out. I got turned off enough by the followup to Jesu that I didn't bother, but (as stated in another thread) the new one sounds promising, so maybe I'll get back on the wagon.

Yeah, Conqueror was bland, to say the least. heart ache and the S/T are the best two, overall.

On a completely unrelated note, I just got turned on to This Will Destroy You and Long Distance Calling, shit's pretty choice.
