All I know is when I went to the Kreator show back in April THOSE were the kind of people I like to chat it up with. People wearing old school outfits, heh, well i guess that's cool but i'm too old to be lookin like that today. But i talked to young fans (who knew their shit) and old school thrashers wearing Holy Terror patches. I saw some of the most obscure shirts and patches that night. And the people knew what they were talking about, all respectful, easy going, just a grand ol time. At this fest I will bet that 90% of the people are gonna be kids who have no clue about the history and culture of metal. Come on, people that listen to KSE don't even know much about Slayer or thrash metal. I work with a bunch of clowns who really do not like metal. They just like KSE because its catchy and they "think" its heavy and the "best" metal band right now. They don't even know one Slayer song. again i'm going for free but i'm not looking forward to all the Hot Topic teens and the (literally) posers. My buddies all look like corporate monkeys but we all grew up on thrash and its still a big part of our lives, so to see these kids say KSE is the founders of "metal" or whatever it is they say about this trendy band, pisses me off. i should just keep it to myself. I will say someone lead me to each KSE member's past band and I'm shocked that they play in such an ear candy, trendy band today.
