Pros: Fast neck, decent body tone, good price Cons: Substandard hardware, bolt-on, crappy stock pickups I ended up replacing the saddles with graphite ($25) right away because the stock metal saddles were fairly sharp and breaking strings on me. Also replaced the pickups and relocated the volume knob to the tone position since it was getting in the way of my picking hand. Good axe for the money. Won't get you pro tone for studio recordings but I did a few with it, with both a JCM800 and Dual Rec, and they were passable with some EQ on the board. Good live axe, mine took a lot of abuse and held up just fine. Fast neck and good size frets so it shreds pretty naturally. Bonus that it's pretty cheap so you don't need to be so gentle with it (unless you're into that sort of thing). |

I only began to prefer neck-thru when I got a soloist with a trem and started doing ridiculously long divebombs. I could see a neck-thru being a bit of an issue there, but since this is a fixed trem I wouldn't worry. Depends too on the music you're playing - if it's thrash and you really don't need a very organic sound then you're probably good. Protip: use a little piece of electrical tape on the back of the hole to prevent crap from getting in the control cavity. |

You'll get no help on the pickup dept either, Daddys employees have really no power over changing prices. How much is the guitar going for used? You'll have no problem with sustain being that its a string through bridge. |

This was before the "3 prices" on the sticker thing they have going now. I told him I'd give him $500 cash on the spot, and they took it. Then as he was ringing me up he goes "Actually, $550". Whatever, got a strap and a shitty case with it so who cares. |
