___________________________________ [Mar 17,2011 7:58pm - LPCustom ""] I need to unload a Mesa Dual Rectifier too - what's a good asking price for them? I paid like $1200. It's in pretty perfect shape but likely just needs new tubes. |
______________________________________ [Mar 17,2011 8:05pm - nickstranger ""] I am charging 900 OBO. They generally go for anywhere between 800-1200 used on eBay. |
___________________________________ [Mar 17,2011 8:08pm - LPCustom ""] They are nice amps, but I just don't have the need for it anymore. It's one of those things that kinda kills you a little inside cause I could definitely use the money, but I worked so hard for it back in the day, haha. |
______________________________ [Mar 17,2011 9:26pm - blue ""] the real question on the dual recto to determine value is: what year is it, and is it a 2 channel or 3 channel? |
______________________________________ [Mar 17,2011 9:46pm - nickstranger ""] Three channel. 2002. |

_________________________________________ [Mar 17,2011 11:53pm - eyehatehippies ""] I assume that's the Fender made, two channel Model T? A grand, huh? I remember when people couldn't give those away after they first came out, and it was discovered that the clean channel was basically unusable. People were selling them on eBay and getting $200-$300. Of course, that was before anyone was using Sunn 0))) amps, and an old 70's Model T was only going for $350-$400. I remember a dude wanted me to trade my JCM900 straight up for a 70's Model T, and although I wanted the Model T, the 900 was worth about double the price at the time, so I passed. How the times have changed... |
______________________________________ [Mar 18,2011 1:47am - nickstranger ""] I have to say I disagree about the clean channel. My bandmate works at new alliance and has used it on recordings a handful of times. Clean channel as a foundation and it's turned out great without fail. Have you personally played one before? |

___________________________________ [Mar 18,2011 9:39am - Bradsauce ""] I gotta agree with Nick on this one. While the clean channel certainly doesn't sound like a vintage Model T, it does have a nice tone to it. Check out any Russian Circles record. That's all reissue Model T, baby. |
