Just start a new project with some woodland knuckle-walkers.
I will, with the squirrels, rabbits, bears, and mountain lions.
Oh my. Buy guns. Lots of them. Shoot them often.
I keep no guns, nor do I need them. I have one crossbow, and a sword. I have plenty of poisons that I could use on either to make them more effective. I once had a blowgun, that was very good for using poisons with, but I have never shot anyone or anything with it when the darts were poisoned. I have chosen to shoot one animal ever with the crossbow, and I have had to shoot this one human with it in my lifetime. The human did not die, I chose to shoot him in the knee, which was perhaps worse than death. I have killed one human in my lifetime, a squirrel, a cat, slugs, worms, countless insects, and maybe a few things that I have forgotten. I drowned a mouse in a supposedly "humane" glue trap, when I saw that he was stuck, still alive, and basically pulling his own face and limbs off trying to escape, and bleeding profusely into the trap. Turns out I was the humane one, I gave him a swift death. I have no regrets, I did it all with what I thought at the time was compassion. As for the human, there is no body, so there is no crime. The law is on my side with that one, even if you were to show the authorities this thread, they could not indict me, by the letter of their own laws, and I have forgiven myself for the action. I did it at the asking of another anyways, hopefully she has forgiven herself as well, for I would assume it was harder for her than for me. I have never had to draw the sword against another animal, man and woman included, but I have used it to trim trees. I had the chance to draw it once against a man, and I considered it, but I chose instead to sit and laugh at him while he punched me, for he was weaker than I, and it was more fitting to laugh than to fight. He was not a threat to me, just a joke to himself. My old room mate used that sword to stand his ground on our front porch when people were coming to kill his brother for stabbing someone in the knee. I arrived home right as the carload of kids confronted him with bats, and he simply showed the sword. I went in, and stood behind him, with a wooden practice sword. The sword was never drawn, it was never needed to be. I am just going into the woods. That is all you need to know. There is no reason, other than I do it for myself. Love is the law, do as thou wilt shall be the whole of the law. Do as thou wilt, under love. This is The Left Hand Path. Walk it in your mind, body, and heart, and you will always find your true self and true will.
