Okay, so the show was really cool. I haven't been to a loft show in a bit and I now realize how much I missed them. Paragon was a good environment and everyone was laid back. I saw the guy who was running the sound (adam?) and he probably runs the place -- he flipped out at a crustie that was pestering him. It was beautiful and clearly based on some prior event with that guy. (Probably even unrelated to any show). Other than that I am not aware of any drama. I've downloaded the Black Circle stuff and got to pick up a bunch of cassettes at this. I thought I was kind of familiar with them, but it got very confusing as to who was playing. There were 5 sets done by those guys but only 4 BTC band billed (see what I mean). I swear that the last set was playing the Kuxan Suum track that is their demo, even though they were listed as playing after Shataan. Regardless of anything else, they did not fuck around. One set ended and I went to take a leak and chatted with people, and the next set fired up. I was pleasantly surprised. You would think that with sharing equipment there would not be a long wait between bands, but I have been to so many loft shows I never expect it. That Volahn guy was bass in one band, drums in the next set, vocals in another and so on. So he was just going for 2 - 3 hours. He seemed to get into it.
