hoser said:
Dear DrinkHardThrashHard, I like you, so I'll keep this letter decent and kind. Summer after summer, New Hampshirite's fear the inevitable; Rt. 16 clogged with Mass. license plates as far as the eye can see. They drive up here to enjoy our lakes and mountains. They drive here in the winter to ski in our mountains. Why you ask? Because Mass. has nothing that even minutely compares. They throw their garbage out their windows, they put other peoples and their own lives in danger so that they can get 8 feet ahead of the car in front of them. They can't figure out how to use a rotary, so they blast into the rotary with no regard or knowledge of the fact that cars in the rotary have the right of way. They will smash up your car and theirs because they are stupidly stubborn and can't figure out how to MERGE together with any sense of decency. So, every 2 lanes that merge into one...there is always a problem and a Mass. plate usually causing it. They come up here and ski in jeans....who the fuck ski's in jeans?!!? However, I just bought a house in Maine. I'll be arguing differently after I move in there in 30 days. Love Always, Hoser
Eheheheh, alright, fair enough. You should re-write that Bosstones 'They Came To Boston' song into 'They Came to N.Conway' or something. I don't ski at all, but I would agree if there are Mass people skiing in jeans they should be locked in an enclosed space with Sarin gas. To be fair, throwing garbage out of vehicle windows is something I have seen NH people do on plenty of occasions, but you are correct we do not have as many lakes, and our only good mountains are out West where I went to school. I guess there's no helping that. On the plus side, isn't tourism from Mass (camp rentals, water parks, beaches, etc) one of the biggest sources of import revenue for NH? Some time I will have to tell you the story about the fleet of 18-Wheelers with NH license plates that tried to kill me one night because I wouldn't move out of the lane that they legally were not supposed to be in to begin with.
