You seem to only think of movies as encompassing hollywood and new york films. films and novels are two modes of expression which can produce things the other can not. No matter how well i could describe a setting I could probably get it across better in film. Think about some place in your city that you went to as a child frequently, don't you think it would be easier just to shoot it in film than to describe it in words. Though I do agree that books are superior, films also have their place and can be made in a way that is not mindless. |

| _____________________________________ [Jun 10,2008 11:29am - Kinslayer ""] That was one of the better Lovecraft film adaptations in that it captured the 'vibe' reasonably well but it's still lacking in many areas and really didn't follow the actual plot of the Dagon story at all. I love the "Miskatonic" sweatshirt that annoying, geek main character wears. |
