as far as the whole immigrant thing, i will say that being an employee in a state run office, i see the good and bad side of immigration. while there are (and have been in the past) so many immigrants who work hard and help out the country, there are just as many (if not more) who 1. are here illegally 2. don't speak english 3. don't work, or work under the table 4. contribute more to crime rates than anything else 5. collect welfare/free healthcare/food stamps etc. (usually 2 or more of the above) which is pretty fucked up when there are plenty of american born citizens, and legal immigrants who do so much and get so little in return
I agree with you sir, and i do believe that measures should be taken to remove illegals who take part in this sort of behavior. But i also believe that there should be a better system in place for people who want to do the right thing to come here. Anyone ever heard of Svalbard? Its a little archipelago north of norway. Technically its part of norway, half way between norways main land mass and the north pole. They have the BEST god damn rule regarding immigration. Not that i think it would work with anywhere having a population of more than 5000, but alas: The government of Svalbard can, at any time, kick you off the islands if you show that you cannot support yourself, or if you are to much of a burden on the government. Great rule, although they do let almost anyone TRY to live there if they want to. You have to get a visa just like to most countries, but there is a coalition of something like 20countries that technically own the right to live there/mine coal there. (coal is svalbards main export.)
