I don't care about making a quick buck off this shit, I wanna do it because I love it. I go to shows because they're awesome and I would think that the people putting them on would actually fucking care about them too.
you know, i believe you more than i would most people. you seem legit.
I'm being serious though. There's too much corruption these days in the booking industry. I think the reason why I'm Thirsty has survived is because they're one of the only "companies" in NH bringing the bigger tour packages around. Mark's Showplace does but no one likes them and their staff are gay. ITE has been able to keep the tour packages coming only because he finds naive, scenester teenage moshcore bands to sell tickets for him. It's almost a necessary evil. My approach to the whole thing is to do it the right way and pay the bands that deserve it. I want to bring as many good bands to my area as possible and give them what they need to survive. I think the bands with more experience deserve more because they've worked harder. The bands that are just starting out won't be playing shows with a silver spoon in their mouths. They have to work for it. My plan is to make friends, not enemies. I think Dave should stop caring what we think about him here and do his own thing until someone comes along and does it better aka ME.
